FATHER AND SON PIZZERIA case study

This question has been Solved!

These are true stories of business persons facing challenges requiring them to make decisions. The cases are drawn mainly from the New York Times business pages. Each is only a few pages long, and easy to read. Your assignment is to analyze the business issue being presented, and to write up your recommendations and analysis in one page (one page maximum length with 11- or 12-point font, single-spaced). You will be graded on the quality of your writing as well as the quality of your thought. You’re encouraged to incorporate references, topics and techniques which we have covered in class. It is challenging to write up such a thoughtful piece of analysis in such a short statement. This is one of the learning objectives of our course—to develop the skill of presenting yourself clearly and concisely. In order to do this you will need to prioritize your thoughts and recommendations, and likewise prioritize the evidence you choose to include in your write-up. That also is one of the skills of business which we hope to practice in this class. Your writing should be crisp, clean and to-the-point, with no wasted words and no mere repetition of the facts of the case. You simply don’t have room in such a short paper to do those things. You should write in a “business-like” style, by which I mean good essay style with clear, well-written complete sentences and organized paragraphs, but within which bullet points and lists are entirely acceptable, and even preferable if they save space and make your points more clearly and compactly.

Your written assignment must be uploaded through the link in our Blackboard site prior to the beginning of class on the date listed for that case in the syllabus.
