ARRANGED MARRIAGE PRACTICED BY INDIAN AMERICANS AND THE STIGMA RECEIVED IN MODERN AMERICA

The paper is to focus on the cultural practice of arranged marriage in Indian Americans (not Native Americans) and their experience in the United States today. This thesis is “arranged marriage is a cultural practice found commonly in Indian American culture and while recognized, is met with resistance in modern American society” and must include the following three arguments to be discussed: I. Arranged marriage is practice today in the United States by Indian Americans with greater marriage success rates than non-arranged marriage. II. Arranged marriage rates are changing in Indian Americans. III. Arranged marriage is stigmatized by non-Indian Americans in today’s society.

The paper is to be 15 pages long utilizing at least 10 sources from books and articles in scholarly journals. The must be written in APA format. The final 3 pages paid for is allocated for an annotated bibliography. The annotated bibliography should have a brief descriptive paragraph about each source used and how the source relates to and is utilized within the research project as well as discussing it’s accuracy, relevance, and quality.
