Diseases of the Musculoskeletal System
Without bones for structure, support, and motion, the body would just be an amorphous blob. The bones also protect vital internal organs (heart/lungs) and systems. Over the course of a lifetime, bones grow with us and we need to nourish them with proper nutrition and exercise to keep them in good working order through old age. For example, Vitamin D keeps our bone strong by helping the body absorb calcium and phosphorus which are integral parts of the bone’s composition.
